Cause bunnies are just so awesome to watch. I watched all the bunny videos for a couple years and then finally adopted a rescue to watch in real life. She is just so cute in everything she does. She is so cute in how she hops, how she eats, how she plays and zooms around... even when she poops she is adorable as she scrunches in a corner in her litter box. She just loves to be loved... I recommend rescuing one if you can and free roaming them if possible. She has a large enclosure in my bedroom she stays in at night and I let her run around a large basement free roam during the day. Here she is in her enclosure in the bedroom i.imgur.com/omZSIDT.jpg i.imgur.com/G0S0Wmc.jpg i.imgur.com/ldi001i.jpg i.imgur.com/3s5lyDY.jpg i.imgur.com/ToBJb7Y.jpg

@Andyourfriendsteve 23 Yes I had a bun when I was growing up who I loved but lived in a hutch outside all his life. This was pre-internet and we did pretty much everything wrong with him. I felt so guilty my whole life after finding out all the things we did wrong... so it is nice to have a bun and do try and do everything right for her. I can tell she really appreciates it seeing her binky and flop and give me lots of bunny kisses. She really hates going outside though. I have tried taking her outside several times but it terrifies her... she jumps into my arms when I sit down next to her. She is like telling me "Please take me back to my home hooman! I hate it out here." I tried to take her out when it was cool and not so sunny out in the evening but she still reacted the same way. I guess she really wants me to know she likes it inside where she is. Here are some pics of her outside i.imgur.com/J3HmkQV.jpg And her wanting to be picked up i.imgur.com/4hEB9dj.jpg And her jumping into my arms i.imgur.com/F6PO2Lu.jpg

In your video you mentioned that you have never seen a rabbit be happy in a cage that small (around 4 minutes) I would like to let you know that my rabbits are super happy and heathy and taken good care of. I raise rabbit for show. If I don’t keep my rabbits in good condition they will not due well at shows.

Amy Dalton that is completely false if r rabbits weren’t happy and healthy they would do well on the show table. Also u can’t lump an entire group of people together and say all of r rabbits are unhappy. Also the reason I (and most others) raise rabbits is bc I love them. I don’t hate my animals. I dont want make them unhappy. Also I do not keep them in their cages all day.

Welp, that's one more thing to add to my list of ways my rabbit fails to rabbit: hidey houses with two entrances. He doesn't care for them. At all. He'd much rather cram himself into a little nook or tight passage (usually between two boxes) and get up to who knows what (it's too small a space for anything but him to fit there, so I can only assume he just sniffs around then goes to sleep). Each time I have to "encourage" him out of there once I notice he's missing. He also has no interest in toys (and I've tried and made a few, from various bunny-safe materials) and chewing anything except wires and newspaper, amongst many, many other things. He's put so much of my researching to waste, lol!

I'm glad you indicated the amount of space in metres as I had to google the conversion😂. My bunny Madeline is hurry housed in a hutch and I put her into the playpen for a minimum 3 hours a day at present. We've only had her a few days and we are working on a more permanent space for her - possibly in my sewing room so that she has me for company on a daily basis and fingers crossed that mean more play space and her hutch can go in there also. This may eliminate any potential issues with our cats who at the moment haven't officially met Madeline but one already has "taken a shine" to her in a not so friendly way. Thanks for posting these great videos.

My 2 rescue bunnies (Bambi and Thumper) has a large room to themselves which is completely bunny proof. They are yet to come home from the RSPCA as they are babies (4 months) and still need to be microchipped but I’m worried that because they are young they could get bored after a while even though they have plenty of toys. Enjoyed this video some fab setups! I just wanted to let you know that only supporting indoor care is an appalling message to spread to others and very hurtful. I have 5 rescue bunnies who have never received human contact. They are as a result of this very scared so I have spent £600 building them their own 7ft by 5ft shed. My trio are on the bottom and my pairs are in handbuilt large hutches. They all get out everyday for 16hours. They are very happy. If I didn't love my bunnies why would I go to all of this effort so that they could live their best lives? I think what you're forgetting is that people can keep bunnies in tiny cages indoor as well! They are safe and loved and live a much better life than before they came to me! x

They should be neutered ASAP. Then they can live together.

@@101rabbits Ok, My friend who is a bunny expert told me they could die from stress when getting neutered so I'm just a bit cautious about it.

Can anyone give me some advice? I'm currently trying to litter train my rabbit and he pees on the floor. If I move the litter box to where he pees he just pees somewhere else. I tried putting a paper towel with his pee in the litter box but it had no effect.

So, I have a problem. My rabbit has a standard rabbit cage, one you would get at Pet Smart or a store like that. But I am sure that my rabbit does not have enough space, and she is not happy with that. I have tried to talk to my parents to make her semi- free roam, but try have always said no because of our financial situation. Advice?

Instead of using a cage you should get an exercise pen. Exercise pens are more spacious than the tiny pet store pens. Hope this helps 😊

My rabbit is free roamed and very rarely chews anything! She has chewed one patch of the carpet before but that was about a year ago and hasn’t gone back to it since. She has so many toys and never touches them apart from tossing them. The vet has said that her teeth are in amazing condition considering her age (8) and I’m like... I just don’t know how considering she doesn’t chew anything 😂 she obviously eats hay, which helps with this but.. I didn’t think that would be enough, I guess it is 🤷🏻♀️

I like this video and I understand the 4x4 cage but what if it goes up. My rabbits cage is 2 grids by 5 grids ( the black metal ones)? He has a total of 4 levels in it. I did not know the hidey house needs two exits. I will work on that.

I think a 2x5 NOC condo is a great size. If I’m not mistaken, it’s square foot is about 16 sqft which is a 4x4

I have a 3 feet wide, 8 feet long and 4 foot tall cage with 2 mini levels that are at both ends of the cage which are 2 feet long and 3 feet wide. Is this ok? Edit: this is only for 1 bunny that is about 6 months old. And she also has a play area that she gets to play in for 4- 8 hours on school days and all day on weekends.

Right now I have a spayed female mini lop and my grandparents have two unspayed rabbits (a mini lop and an unknown “meat rabbit”) Our main goal is to bond them all into a trio and they will come and live at my house. My sister and brothers birthday party petting zoo was just yesterday and my grandparents brought some of their farm animals and a few of our animals were in it. We stupidly put all three rabbits together thinking they wouldn’t fight bc they were in neutral territory. My spayed mini lop and my grandparents unspayed mini lop got along great, they snuggled together and it was so cute! (The unspayed one is actually the spayed ones mom) and the “meat rabbit” got along well for a while. But I think that the “meat rabbit” got territorial of the hide we had in there to let them have some shade (the pen wasn’t in the sun it was in the shade too) and she attacked my spayed mini lop. My mini lop now has a chuck missing out of her ear, we put neosporin on it and it has healed. But I’m worried that they won’t bond now because of it. I’m going to wait for another session until after all of them are spayed but im still worried. Both of my grandparents rabbits have a great bond with each other but the mini lop is getting older (5) and I don’t want her outside anymore without a lot of attention on her. Do you think they will still bond?

It's hard to tell but they must be SPAYED BEFORE YOU PUT THEM TOGETHER NEVER EVER DO THAT AGAIN

Lauren Thompson, I’ve learned that since then. I take full responsibility on the incident and luckily it wasn’t terrible. Afterwards the two unspayed rabbits were fine together so I luckily didn’t mess up their bond. They will be spayed soon after I save up for it since my grandparents don’t think they need to be spayed, I won’t let them together until they are all spayed :)

If you wait until they are properly spayed and have healed (at least 1mo post op) I think you’d be fine trying bonding again. Hormones have a lot to do with fight and also giving to much space or items that rabbits can become territorial of. I’d spend this time doing a lot of research (binkybunny.com, rabbit.org, and my KZitem channel) on bonding. I’d recommend starting with stress bonding first. A car ride in a carrier is a good start. Then moving to an empty clean bathtubs

I’d also recommend getting your rabbits ear checked by a vet.

101Rabbits, thank you for the info! I’ve been doing tons of research already and feel really bad. But he ear has healed up and isn’t bleeding and doesn’t look infected, I will talk to a vet though.
