Some of the content seems obvious but, there are some very useful bits sprinkled into this video. Of course, what seems obvious to me may not be to someone else and the things I learned may be things someone else already knows so, a person NEEDS to watch this tutorial and find their own hidden gems. Good job and thank you!

But with shared coordinates when the point cloud is georefrenced with Gcp I can’t see it on site or elevation . I can’t draw the level cuz my point cloud is so far on the view

Are you modeling the Correct way, bcoz I can not see the columns and Some Interior Walls that you are placing and you are making these walls randomly? Anyway, through your video my concept is solved of Point Cloud. Thank you but think on my suggestion.

Hey sir, you have made a great video, it's very helpful. But i have one problem and i think that you can help me. I understand about point cloud but i don't have .rcp file to practice so can you give me any .rcp just for the practice. Thanks you.

Great video that's been needed for a long time. I get a lot of scan data on National Grid and level. When I insert my RCP it gives me the warning about it being too far away from the origin, and then when you try to model, it will draw walls on weird angles (I hope this makes sense). Do you know how to be able to get your drawing on grid and still work as if you where drawing close to origin?

Hey Swivvy Gaming, Try the following: 1. Take a note of coordinates and elevation of a point inside a point cloud (use one somewhere in the center) In Revit: 2. In a True North oriented view, Draw a model line 3. Go to Manage>Coordinates>Specify Coordinates at Point 4. Select an end point of the line you've drawn 5. Input the coordinates you've noted. 6. Link the point cloud using Center to Center 7. Select the file and go to Manage>Coordinates>Acquire Coordinates

Repro Products thanks very much but I did it a similar way using AutoCAD. Drawing a basic outline and made note of the co-ordinates of my building. Then importing that DWG into revit and using specify co-ordinates at a point. maybe the longer way ATM but fingers crossed clients happy!

What to do when points cloud file inserted does not match coordinates and project north between Revit model and the points cloud acquired in the field?
