maybe always start first shot with product flat on table and scanner flat on its bottom on a box.. click.. now you have world orientation, stick the scanner on tripod and keep shooting your angles after that.

Does the standalone unit still require the revoscan software? Or can the device itself export stl files?

No, Yyoou dont have to have Rrevoscan. Thhe unit itself will provide you with the .stl or .ply

Nice Video I am impressed with the Miraco but struggled with the planes on 3d print what Slicer do you use it seems to have some great features

Bambu Slicer. You don't have to have a Bambu printer to use it.
