Your English is just fine. Thanks for the video, I am rebuilding a B77 of my own, and may well need to replace these same bearings. Subscribed.

Good job. That locking slide pin is hard to get on. I found out that using thin nose pliers works great. Just pull the lever up and over the shaft with the pliers. Easy, peasy.

as long as all is understood its OK. Did you know that I have heard a lot that listening to greek or spanish others confuse the two? They say they sound the same to an outsider. Its because the accent is randomly put on a word. French is usually on the last, Italian on the before the last but greek and spanish is random. That is why.

Thank you! -getting ready to do this on my A77mkIII as the motor has a slight scraping sound in the bearing.
@dchatz
2 жыл бұрын
There is always the possibility that the motor has been out of specs after all these years and the tight tolerances are out of limits. If its so your motor might keep on making noises which are not from the bearing but from the shaft being able to move slightly front-back while turning. In that case the motor might need replacing. There are many for sale on ebay. Replacing the bearing is always a cheap and simple job that is worth trying. Don't forget to put thin oil on the front sintered bearing. Put a lot there. It might be totally dry.

@@dchatz thanks! Let’s hope it all works out. Both bearings have been oils so the front felt is damp with oil

@@dchatz thanks to your video, replacing the bearing wasn’t bad at all. As you said may happen the motor is noisy unless I tilt the unit back or forward. Should I replace the motor or just the shaft? Thanks

@@ppeterso22 i wish i new. I also don't have experience on things going wrong. Im not a technician, just a hobbyist. There is another video in my channel where i remove the whole motor if you need help how to do it but I don't know exactly where the problem might be. Mine is still noisy but I'll leave it like that for now. kzitem.info/news/bejne/rJuGsquHjaBpe5w

What do you use to bypass the AC two pin interlock ( when the unit is running outside of the case)

I use a simply 2-pole power plug. Either power plug or splitter can be used. Be careful not to connect electrically the 2 poles.

@@dchatz Thanks. I opted to drill out the jumper rivets and install that bar back into the unit. I'm waiting on VU lamps now. End of tape lamps are in and new pinch rollers are in. I've also modded the first A77 with the resistor fix for R118

What type of oil do you use ?
@dchatz
Жыл бұрын
At first I used thin gear oil but after some time I saw a bit green residue which is a sign of corrosion on the copper sintered bearing (BAD-BAD-BAD). I asked others and was instructed to use the "Mobil DTE Oil Heavy ISO VG 100 Bearing Oil SAE 30". As they say that oil is also proposed by the service manual. So use this. Search it as in the quotes on ebay.

What do you think about putting bearing on right tape guide ?

Experts say not to put. You may put, if it sounds right leave it. Measure flutter with wget for pc and if you are ok with result leave it on
