In this Physics video in Hindi for class 11 we explained Reynolds number and its significance. Reynolds number for a flow indicates whether the flow is laminar or turbulent. This number was introduced by Sir George Stokes, but popularized by Osborne Reynolds and hence, received its name. If Reynolds number associated with a flow is very high, it suggests turbulent flow and low Reynolds number indicates steady flow.
