I have revised whole immune system through your lectures by multiple strategies.. listening thoroughly , jotting down whole lecturer verbatim from the white board and then resorted to skipping words and scribbling just the key physiology jargon .. that is how i am able to finish through all biology video in as quick as possible... thanks for ur help.. Long live Ammerikka and its people.

thank you I found this very helpful but I need an explanation in the second fetus, the antibody bind to its D-antigen, but how this is dangerous ? we know that antibodies cant damage a cell by it self, it need a killer cells..(right?)

Great video, thanks. I have a question, is abortion considered a first pregnancy as well? Has the blood had a chance to mix at 8 weeks? A rhogam was given after. She is A- and I am A+, what would be the best action considering she is now 28 weeks pregnant. Thank you.

I have a question, what's the biological significance of antigen A, B and D protein? What is their actual role on human physiology? Why do our red blood cells need them?

Rh incompatibility goes both ways, but no one speaks of consequences of species inter-breeding when an Rh negative male and Rh positive female copulated, such as autism, birth defects, and various diseases of the blood.

Does an rh positive mother affect an rh negative fuetus
@raanoooshh9296
5 жыл бұрын
As I understand from this video it should not because the fetus blood gets to the mother and not vice versa. But if it would then it could have complications on future pregnancies of the baby if it's a female. But I don't think this is the case, so to answer your question it shouldn't. I could be wrong though.

"However since the fetel red blood cells usually leak during childbirth, this will not effect the fetus (during first pregnancy)." what does this line mean? By googling I found that the first fetus doesn't get effected as most often the child is born before the antibodies get produced inside mother's immune system. source : www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/health-topics/topics/rh

As i understood because the antigens are passing to the mothers blood during the birth , there is a time forming of the antibodies , but in second pregnancy because antibodies are already forming wwhen birth is realising antibodies which are formed before can pass thbabys blood and burst the red blood cells by the help of the immune cells like the cytotoxic t cells .

What about if the father is Rh negative and the mother is positive. I'm guessing that the 2nd child won't be affected?
@fizzasaeed9012
6 жыл бұрын
OmgKittys78 there can be of 45% chance to be child to be of RH - AND 65% chance of child being rh +. Child will not be affected as mother is rh + .
