Thanks Rob, your install video has given me the confidence to drill my hardtop. I'm waiting on my Rhino Rack Backbone to be delivered as I type this. Thanks again for your videos Rob they are always great! Oh, and I'm putting the Rhino Rack Pioneer platform on mine, then possibly a rooftop tent.

Thanks for the video. The Rhino instructions are quite good but videos like this help alleviate those lingering questions you might have while “measuring twice” 🫣 Putting holes in your hard top can be gut-wrenching so appreciate the step-by-step you’ve shared 👍🏼

Great detail. I've been putting this off for months, due to all the drilling. I get it now.

Hi Rob! Love your video's; really helpfull. I do have a very specific question; would you be able to confirm how much height is added to the jeep with just the back bone base blocks installed? My estimation is that this is about 0,5 inch; however I'm looking for a more accurate measurement. Need this measurement for a project of mounting a slim line RTT directly to the base blocks. Thanks already !

I saw the install for the Gladiator, but did not realize the Backbone System was available separately. @ 6:45 and @ 10:05 torque the nuts/screw to 3-4 ft/lbs for now. Perhaps the instructions have the final torque requirements. Wonder if Rhino-Rack recommends the use of thread-lock? Really liked the split screen to clearly show selected parts of the install. Thanks for sharing.

3-4 ft/lbs is the final torque requirement. No thread lock needed with the lock nuts provided.

Had I known about this video, I would have likely installed my Rhino Rack myself instead of taking it to a shop to have the work done.

My jeep is a 2023 Rubicon with One-touch-sky top. Will this Rhino-Rack backbone system fit to my jeep? Tks a lot

Are the platform racks interchangeable after installing the quick mounts/backbone system? That is, could you put the larger 84 inch (versus the 76 or 72inch) on the mounts without changing the placement of the mounts? I don't use my freedom panels and would prefer more real estate on top for overlanding.

Can you still remove the hard top after installing this? I love the system but would still like to run my soft top when I don’t need a rack or hard top.

Yes you can. Just have to pull out the long bolt that goes up through the roll bar when you remove the factory bolts to remove the top.

They're the AEV Borah Wheel available in Onyx (gunmetal) or Stain Black with your choice of a Silver or Onyx bead lock ring. Matt had his color matched by a body shop to his Jeep. www.quadratec.com/p/aev/borah-wheel-wrangler-jl?
