Oh my gosh !!!! This must be what it looked like a 100 years ago when moms used to spend lovely bonding time together. Glorious! I noticed the little math lesson in there during measuring. Such patience these parents have ❤and it sure shows in the kids.

@KilcherHomestead, Eivin and Eve, This is how children used to be raised...Properly! Good to see you raising fine youngins who are involved. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 While I don't like TV nor watch TV, The entire Kilcher Family is why Alaska: The Last Frontier was my favorite show to watch online, and now it's even better without the History Channel involved, because we get to see The Kilcher's un-scripted, just doing their own thing for the viewers. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I absolutely L❤VE that your kids are being kids. Out learning, exploring, living life & making memories. I’m sure there will be haters saying Sparrow is too young to have a knife. One she had adult supervision, 2 I am sure she was taught how to use it safely. Parents accept the responsibility to educate, mentor & teach our children right from wrong, respect, pride & so many other things. Now that they are growing up they are learning life skills. Kids need to know how to cook, how to grow food & preserve it. The worst thing I think a lot of schools did was remove Home economics & shop class in high school. Great job kiddos!!!! The best gifts to give a parent are the ones from the heart. I still have cards etc my daughter made for me way back when. ❤. Thanks for sharing…the pie looked delicious

I Love it when the kiddos are involved!! & Hahaha Finley and the "there's even cookies in there that look like cat poop" cat poop cookies!! 😂😂 Well.... What more do you want, folks?! 😁 The kids have such strong, independent and confident feelings about themselves, and it's so refreshing to SEE!! MORE kids need to speak words of affirmations to themselves as well!! I Love living in Alaska for this reason, Alaska kids are truly built differently! From their hearts to their brains. Confidence comes from them living the Alaska Life, for sure! Our kids play outside during school, unless it is colder than -10! & They all Love it. 😂 Thanks Eve, Finley and Sparrow for the yummy recipes, and Happy belated Father's & Mother's Day you two! Fall is here, and Winter is coming!! God bless! ✝️❤🙌🇺🇲

I loved this video! When I was Sparrow's age, I loved raw rhubarb. I had no idea, at that time, that the leaves were poisonous. My mom would cook it, with sugar, and make it into a kind of sauce. It was so good. I have not had any in years. I love your family and am so happy that y'all are sharing your videos, with us.

Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp is the best! Looks like your Rhubarb grows really well in the Alaskan climate, much like it does here in Washington's Puget Sound region. Funny you have the Rhubarb plants in a fenced area. In all the years we have cultivated Rhubarb, I don't think we have ever had deer or anything else try to eat it, never needed to protect it! Fun watching you and Sparrow interact in the garden and kitchen, obviously she loves to cook.

Eve, you are correct about the rhubarb leaves being highly poisonous, however; if you tear them up and add them to a barrel of water, leave them for a few weeks and then use it to water your plants, it makes the best fertilizer.
