Rian needs to make a Benoit Blanc meets the muppets musical

I love that Rian Johnson said that he loves Kenneth Branagh's Poirot movies. Those movies are basically the Benoit Blanc movies's biggest competition. I have a lot more respect for Rian after hearing him say that.

I mean, as someone who is a massive fan of the Poirot novels, the Blanc movies are a way better tribute and homage to Agatha Christie than anything Kenneth Branagh is doing

@@legendaccount3247 It's actually a little sad that the Blanc movies, which are an homage to Christie's books, are better and more well-received than Branagh's Poirot movies, which are actually based on Christie's books.

@@ZukoHalliwell I don't think they really compete with each other. I'd even say they even both work together to bring the genre back. These days media tribalism is outdated. You see Marvel and DC fans usually watch and enjoying both, for example.

this guy has some decent ideas but dogshit execution. he needs some good handlers to make decent movies happen. the reason reveals in columbo and sherlock holmes work is that they keep small details to themselves, rather than have big twists just done out of nowhere. i.e. someone who would've been shown in a shot isn't in order for a "twist"

You can tell that Rian has more knowledge, pleasure and enthousiasm than with SW. it just wasn’t his genre or IP. Glass onion is a masterpiece, I’ll forgive SW for this. He was just the right man in the wrong place. I wish him the best and hopes he keeps making these murder mysteries!!

The Last Jedi is criminally underrated. He approached star wars the best way possible, by questioning the fundamentals of star wars and then come to a conclusion that honors them. For me, it's a love letter to Star Wars and its legacy.

I'm curious if Rian will become the thing he hates or if at some point he goes back to his lower budget film making roots (Brick)
