The almost Cars Song. Ben Orr did backing vocals. Elliot Easton did the guitar. Greg Hawkes did the keyboards. Only David Robinson was missing. Very simple drum beat in this song as a result. Sounds like a Cars song for a reason - 80% of the band was on this song on the album.

Ric's final doodles included "Keep on Laughin'" - awesome lead song on This Side of Paradise - Ric passed on 33rd anniversary of the album release. This song (maybe for Paulina) was 2nd & 3rd was Emotion in Motion--awesome triple> - this song has Greg Hawkes, Ben Orr & Elliot Easton (misses David Robinson only). Great song with a creative & memorable music video.The Cars and each of the band's talented members always had that knack of pleasing the fans.It's great to hear the late Benjamin Orr on backing vocals along with Elliot Easton and Greg Hawkes contributing making this a very near to The Cars song for sure!!!

@@32INCHSTRIPER It's a GREAT solo because it's one of his simplest, non bluesy, not very intricate. But it comes in, gets the job done WELL (kinda like the Touch and Go solo in that respect) and then goes away leaving you satisfied. Kinda like Greg Hawkes occasional line of Casio CZ101 square wave lines in this song, especially. Sometimes, less truly IS MORE!

@JPMcFly1985 4 of the 5 Cars members are playing/singing on this track. Elliot Easton on lead guitar, Greg Hawkes is actually playing bass, and Ben Orr is singing background vocals. That's probably why it has that Cars sounding quality to it. Awesome song!

Been my favorite band since the late 70s when their first album came out. I love the allbum the had before that called milkwood.. They were my top band no matter how many bands that i loved.. There is none like them or made me so happy.. Their sound was what got me sound of the 80s so unique

I have always missed for Ben when listening to backing vocals to this song . Wonderful Elliot , but it shouldnt surpise us, does it? I' am devastated by Rick`s loss , too. It`s such unbelievable not to see him again.

I remember first hearing only PART of this song-the ending, "....true to you...I'm true to you..!" And NEVER forgot it, never knew who did it, etc..this was about '83-84 or so...never forgot it, and now here it is!!! 🙏👍😄☺😍
