below is not a one to one translation of the lyrics, but an approach to give you the idea, minstrel veysel's lyrics deify the unconditional love&care nature offers to us, in contrast to his frustration in his lifetime search of real love from humans. i relied on many as a friend (but) my loyal lover is the earth (nature) wasted myself and my time seeking (real love) my loyal lover is the earth i ripped its belly with pickaxe and grubber i tore its face with my nails and hands even so, it wellcomed me with roses my loyal lover is the earth i have given it a seed it replied with fields of fruits (food) my loyal lover is the earth... ........

I agree to every word except "commercial" because westeners not being used to these oriental sounds has zero to do with commercialism and everything to do with culture. Even though mainstream music is indeed easy to listen to that is still just an unnessecary bashing.
