This is a really poignant and beautiful scene. It so accurately depicts how children react to seeing someone disfigured. It's very unsettling, but I love how Richard turns it around and wins them over! He truly was the heart of that show, and by far the most sympathetic character.

I'm kind of glad that I learned what happened to Richard before I even saw episode #1. Definitely my favorite character on the show. It softened the blow a bit for me but would have preferred to see him living Happily Ever After with a family

Margaret really turned a terrible case in the children´s eyes to something magic and pure. Because that man didn´t deserve less, he was always so good and loyal with everybody who appreciated him. Richard has a special talent for children, he would have been A GREAT FATHER.

The efforts Margaret makes to make Richard comfortable are very nice to see. All that sweetness and tenderness towards Richard who must be so happy that he's treated that well makes me melt. And the whimsical music in the background makes the scene seems like it comes from Little House on the Prairie or something when we are in a violent gangster TV show lol. A bubble of kindness in a world of violence.

Seasons 3 and 4 were just as good as the first two. Only season 5 was a bit rushed, but still enjoyable and better than most shows out there.

When Jimmy and Richard first meet, Jimmy’s reading a book called The Tin Soldier. Do you think that that’s a foreshadowing of this scene? Harrow’s a soldier for Jimmy, but he’s also a Tin Woodsman for Margaret and her children.

I love this scene! It’s so sweet how Margaret invites him to sit with them and sees that even tho at first sight his disfigurement is off putting underneath it is a gentle kind hearted man the tin woodsman❤️

Did horrible things but its where his character was meant to be, amazingly built character. The horrible things he did doesn’t phase me for what he went through. It’s a mafia field and he turned out to be the best of them.

Tbh this was like the one thing she ever did on the show that wasn’t either selfish or annoying. I greatly disliked her character, but this was the one time I did appreciate her.
