Super underrated song. The whole album is full of amazing tracks, but Weeping Willow is one of the best off that album.

I used to play this all the time in rehab. "Weeping Willow, the pills under my pillow" I've got to learn to leave my pain, walk through that door and kiss the rain. Thank You Richard. Listening to some of the tracks on Urban Hymns when I was in rehab really helped me get myself straight. 👍

I only discovered Richard Ashcroft this year, via the Verve... He's so deeply unique musically and a work of art physically... Kinda punk-ish Brit self-aware self confidence personified... With emotional depth and clarity that carry the listener out of their own boundaries. He's deeply real.

So many hits from the original Urban Hymns. As a novice guitarist. I have covered a few from the album. Seeing Richard perform live, he makes the performance so effortless. Grabbing this album was a must for me. Amazing stripped back versions. This track is so powerful. Pure genius writer, and a stand alone front man to the core.

Where are all the haters now with in the industry who branded him as “mad Richard” during the 90’s? Oh yeah I know licking his arse and brown nosing him telling him “Oh yes Mr Ashcroft your a musical talent” no shit Sherlock we’ve known that for years been saying that he’s a legend with his melodies and deep crisp tones that makes Richard’s songs so unique I salute you 👍🏼😁🍾
