Richard Smith plays Jerry Reed's composition Twitchy. Richard is playing a Kirk Sand Richard Smith model nylon string electric guitar. Recorded May, 2014.
Just a truly amazing gift!!! One of the most talented guitarists of all time!!!

This was originally a DUET, and he worked out a way to play it solo. Even worked in the harmonies on the restatement of the head. One of many reasons why Richard Smith is one of the best in the world!
You are by far the best Jerry Reed instrumentalists I have ever heard. I discovered you about three years ago prior to by contracting Parkinson’s disease. I am a retired engineer who will be 89 years old tomorrow. After you play I went out and buy a guitar to try to learn some of the simpler songs.Keep up the good work you have a great career in American

He’s a savant. He can hear a piece one time and play it. Began at 7 and after one day he had mastered the basics and it went from there. One in a million ... or more!

@jules wins ... I had the chance to go see him in concert a few years ago. I didn’t go because at the time I didn’t know who he was. You can bet I regret that decision now. I’ve been a big fan for several years now and really want to see him play in person.

I love the nylon sound there is such definition in the bass strings. What a nylon may lose in strumming it gains ten fold in clarity and bass definition!

Bob!! Hey! How are you! I need to get back out to SLC again! Best thing to do is learn the song in your head first so you can sing it, if not out loud vocally. March the notes of the fingerboard with the pitches in your head.
