Same here. I was a fan of Richie since I heard his first release on Shrapnel back in '89. I knew the guy was great. But he's branched out so boldly that it's wonderful. He didn't get stuck in that shred trap like so many players from that era. He's one of the best ever.

I’ve heard of him. Just never heard his material until now. I’m digging this. Wish his mic was turned up a little more. I’m very into Richie sambora. Too bad they didn’t do anything together because they both have that rock and blues sound. Both have a great sound. Definitely have to listen to more of his material. A question. Why is he playing as him, when he has great band? Can I smell some narcissistic ego trippin here? This is soooo typical for guitarists. In Smith Kotzen band all the focus is on that charming Julia, and everybody likes how Adrian sings. I hope that I am wrong, but I have impression that he craves to be a center of attention. So sad for such a great musician.
@dylanjames2213
4 ай бұрын
I mean, he writes all the music and the band members rotate (although Dylan has been bass for him for a while). I've seen him live 5 or so times and he's never come across narcissistic - always shouting out the band members, etc. Not to mention this is extremely common in the industry. Chris Stapleton, Steve Vai, Joe Bonamass, etc, etc, etc, all perform under their own names. Doesn't necessarily mean they're narcissistic... although I'm sure some are.
