Bobby Walker saw him twice.. once in 2017 and back in March... Incredible Live... Could’ve actually recorded both shows for a live album. 💯🎸☮️

Ex- C and E shows a Lot How he is playing today (2023). With more tríads, enclosures and jazzy stuff.Sure he keeps his pentatonics with bars and amazing hammers ons and pull offs since forever.

It's D and not breaking, just vibrating so fast, it can't be seen at such low resolution. If you check a few seconds later first 5 frets of the D string is there.

that's his signature strat in see through white burst. RK has a signature tele and strat. his own strat is probably from the 2000s. fender is selling the reissued ones

Pretty much! The trick is that he combines 2 shapes so it becomes a 3 notes-per-string pentatonic. In my opinion his signature sound is that fourths lick. He throws that in every now and then. Fantastic guitar player and killer singer. Richie is the whole package :)

Don't be so hard on yourself & don't underestimate yourself. Apart from that; there are dozens of 6-7 year olds on youtube - kids with snot at their noses - who play better than Richie Kotzen... so the thing is: There is no sense in competing with anyone or comparing yourself with others. There always will be someone better - even better than those we accept to be the best nowadays. You should just sit down and have fun. Bob Dylan uses only standart chords by the way... Enjoy your guitar and gear my friend.

I agree to not be too hard on yourself. For an intermediate to an advanced player this video is a great way to improve your rock phrasing. Although without a good understanding of arpeggios I can see this video could be a bit fast paced for some.

They are custom made by dimarzio, but you can get similar tones using the hs 2 by wiring only the top part of the pickup (soldering the black and white wires, black being hot)
