I don't think he would be up there sharing his opinions and philosophies for a living if that was actually true. The attitude of indifference and the disconnection with the society he makes fun of is just a gimmick. He does it because it works and the money keeps coming in. Comedians are probably the most dependent group there is. Without a civilization of people who's lives are good enough that they have time and money to spend on a comedy show, then comedians would be nothing but worthless beggars. They have no skills, produces or contributes nothing but ridicule to the society their comfortable existence rests on. Ricky is a smart man, if you asked him in private he would likely agree with most of this. Except I'm sure he would argue that he actually does contributes a lot to society just by talking, but id say for that to be true, people would have to act on his words, witch they don't. All the stupid things he mocks are still going strong.

@@corinahilchey2333 There’s a lot of clips in the video; I’m referencing the ones where Ricky roasts the celebrities in attendance at the award shows. His statements about their arrogance and hypocrisy made them squirm (the look on Tom Hanks’ face is priceless). Ricky is using humor to express what a lot of people think of the celebrity class. My point is that many people, given the chance, would say the same things (or worse) to them. But their words would not be backed by polish and professionalism Ricky possesses. It’s certainly an unprovable theory, and one which is open to debate. We might disagree on this point, but I guessing we both agree Ricky is a comedic treasure.

All seeking those moments when they are placed on that pedestal to have their little butt holes licked for doing a job that the rest of us refer to as pretending. To hear him, to their arrogant, obviously displeased faces, tell them exactly what they truly are, and to get over themselves. Classic. Epic. Priceless. You are the man Ricky! Even funnier is how these actors try to come back with what they think are "clever" comebacks to Ricky and it's just utter cringe but the horde laughs and claps at them. 🤣

A few years back my son was being bullied at school by a big kid. I complained to the teacher and she said he is not bullying he is a special kid. I told her that my son doesnt know that special means mental illness. He thinks special means privileged 🙄 The teacher was clearly not prepared or happy with my reply

There are a lot of people who are hypersensitive these days. However, there are ALSO a lot of people who are dying to hear someone be politically incorrect for a change. Political correctness only has power if you go along with it. That is why comedies from the 60s, 70s, and 80s have stood the test of time. Dr Strangelove (1964), Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975), Life of Brian (1979), and Three Amigos (1986) are ALL movies that young people still watch and talk about today ("You can't fight in here! This is the war room!" "What's so funny about Biggus Dickus?") It is ALSO why the first decade of the 2000s was the last decade of great comedy. "The Hangover" and "Tropic Thunder" were truly GREAT comedies that could not be made in Hollywood today. They were made in 2009, right before the 2010s started and the hellscape of political correctness kicked into high gear.

Repeat, after repeat, after repeat... You are so creative that you can glue together some random videos and make us to see each of them more than 10 times? Such a creativity.

😂😂 Ricky said what we are all thinking!! & it is called comedy for a reason! This is how we destroy this new woke culture by taking the micky out of it & having a laugh 😂

So in your head you are transphobic, and he has courage to be transphobic out loud. You guys call it woke culture, I call it prejudice. Can't handle the differences, huh?

I wonder if Tom Hanks can attend these celebrations in the future? Each joke seems to blow him up a little more, maybe he'd rather hang out with Wilson.

Benjamin Franklin knew. He foresaw this 2.5 century ago. Many things he said and one of them was "Everyone is born ignorant, but one must work *HARD* to remain stupid." Freedom can only shine when it's kept in boundaries. Freedom to self must be contained and preserved not presented to harm others.
