I usually hate American interviewers but thought this guy seemed really cool. Turns out he's Canadian! Canadians are like Brits, they have a great sense of humour and understand sarcasm and they don't get really loud and interrupt the whole time.

My foster mom came to Canada from England as a young wife and mother. All her teen years where spent in war, and she lost her Fiance (a Canadian soldier she met working in her father's pub) She was 72yrs old when I met her. She was an exceptional Lady!!! I Miss Her Dearly! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Gervais is always funny. He doesn't even have to try to be funny, and even when he's not laugh out loud funny, he's constantly entertaining and engaging. The most natural man interviewed I've ever seen, his individual interviews are like little episodes of comedy in themselves.

This is one of the shows where you actually like the host. He's just honest and genuine, all a host needs to be. As for Gervais, he's been seriously slouching of late with material but he's still a comic genius. He is the Tyson of comedy, he was just built for it.

Ricky was at the intro to the screening but, sadly, didn't hang around... I want to go again when it is released - it is humorous and touching at the same time. Not an Oscar contender perhaps, but a great night out!

usually i hate stroumbo but this is actually a good interview. -ricky has a real nice demeanor here, in most of his other talk show appearances it seems more like work than a conversation.....i like how he's showing his audience respect by not just regurgitating a bunch of old stories for 'stupid laughs'.

You're being so silly. Listen to the intro first off; his father is born and raised here in Canada they made a point of mentioning it. And the guest DOES HEAR the intro before they came out. So yea he mentioned it playfully that he's half Canadian, acknowledging that one of his parents is from here. Is that a crime? Jeez

He kind of is arrogant but maybe 90% of it is for comedic response alone. He is exceptionally media savvy and knows that bragging about your awards/looks/success is not the done thing but he does it anyway. He did XFM for years after he hit it big with the office. A local radio show, 2 hours a week isnt publicity. He did it because it was his "favourite part of the week" (Rickie's own words). That might be because of Pilkoids though. I would treasue 2 hours a week with Pilky
