Had some unforeseen technical difficulties with new equipment, sorry about the blurriness of some shots.

I own the V5 that is still in mint condition, and even though I would like better capability uphill I just have no need for more capability downhill. Personally I run mine in the high setting all the time because even if I have a bashguard I am just tired of scrubbing and hitting everything both bottombracket area as well as pedals and crank arms. It's too low for the terrain I use it in, and this season I'm even swopping the 175mm cranks with 165mm just to go a step further. I do understand why some may want a very low bottom bracket, but for people who just don't ride flow trails it's very impractical. No matter what equipment we are on we always got to use which ever technique works with that contraption, and it would even be interesting to test a slightly longer stem to aid in the techy uphill sections because my bike can easily get light up front. Anyhow, good to see that there's at least some update to the platform, even though I personally got a more than good enough bike for years to come. No need to change all that often and especially given the prices on these things. Maintenance is where to aim our focus at.

I'm so keen to try a pivot but I think I've caught the High Pivot fascination! With the new release of the High Pivot Norco Sight, I'm curious if Pivot will go that direction for their Firebird or maybe next generation Switchblade. I'd love to see a comparison video between the Switchblade and the HP Norco Sight!

Small correction. Chainstays vary by size. XS, SM and MD are 429mm/431mm (high/low), LG is 431mm/432mm (high/low), XL is 435mm/436mm (high/low). All still short but the are variable by size.

I see that, I was talking about at 5:39 when the narrator says "it runs a 431 chainstay across all sizes". I do also really dig the shorter stays.

This bike seems perfect for my local Pasadena local trails. I have been riding only hardtail’s using wide rims and 2.6” tires for quasi suspension. Really big bikes I demo are too slow on climbing and hard to power out of tight switch backs.

Why can I only find one retailer selling the v6 switchblade brunch ride?

I'm curious if the tire clearance near the BB is any better on the V6 than on the V5. Here in the CA SF Bay area the clay mud is insane during the winter and I'm always getting jamed up with mud there on my Pivots. It's especially bad on the Shuttle SL IMO

Hey, you say that you can run a regular transmission on this but to clarify that is not true of the front end on the V5 you can't run a standard crank and I suspect the same is true of this new V6! This was left out of the basic marketing info before I purchased the bike and I think folks should know their crank selection is limited. Is this right? It's my understanding of the situation...

The V6 has two builds that come stock with the new Transmission; X0 or GX. You can definitely run it on the V6... The only real difference between the V5 and V6 is the lower link and some geometry tweaks. I'm not really sure what you mean by standard crank, but are you confusing the new wide spindle crank with a standard boost crank since the chainline of Transmission is 55mm?

Pivot refers to this as the V6. Size-specific chainstays mentioned in geo section, although not too much difference across them. First 3 sizes are the same, large 1mm longer, xl 5mm longer.

Very short chainstays - being centered on a bike is like lol I ride an Altitude and THAT bike is centered, not this one
