Your comment around 13:00 re the journey being the holiday reminds me of what my old man says when I go on long trips - be wary of destination fever. I'm so bad for that - am much more comfortable out on the road driving, then constantly stopping and seeing the sights. "Oh, I'll just stop at the next town...", and then never do. So I end up missing a lot of very good scenery, food, pubs etc. If you've no time pressure to get somewhere, definitely slow down and enjoy the journey. On a trip around Aus, taking a year or more, who cares if you're off by a few weeks or a month or so?

@becstadotcom very good point. A good friend said to me recently 'slow it down and enjoy what Australia has to offer'. Completely agree and will 100% be going back to these places for a slower paced trip.... might go clockwise next time! ✌️

Another good run. You made it to Palm Cove without any drama - bar the hatch on your pannier flipping open. Stay safe. Cheers, Sean.

I did half a lap in 2010 towing a little cargo trailer with my Yamaha XJ900 Diversion. 😁 I remember doing those stretching exercises on the bike and standing on the pegs, also just sitting hands free and steering with my body weight. Best was 13 km hands free though the centre on dead straight roads. Going to Darwin from QLD via the Tableland Hwy is a good road, but carry extra fuel, 250+ between fuel stops (375 km is the worst between Barkly Homestead going north)

13km hands free! Epic! More videos coming and yep I'm hearing you about the fuel!
