I just got back from Vegas and the Luxor was the top on my hotel bucket list for checking out. It’s definitely quite amazing and probably my favorite on the strip. I don’t visit Vegas often so I decided while I was there I might as well ride the inclinators. Very different feeling but cool. I’m not normally afraid of heights but being along those narrow halls at the top of the pyramid made me really uneasy, especially considering I’m a tall guy and the railings are so short. A little boy went to pick up his little sister so she could look over the edge and I just about had a heart attack, luckily their mom was there to stop it. I’m surprised there’s not more deaths here unless they’re all just covered up. As much as I love this place.. It also terrifies me.

Luxor is a poor building design when first launched in 1993, with lots of cost-cutting and rushed-through techniques used to finish building, which caused deaths of up to 7 construction workers untold by secret. It is also haunted. The open-space atrium is totally fine, but the developers should have built the half-walls on the hallways much more taller until to the height of an adult's face. Only your head should be allowed to see outside the atrium. The half-walls are way too short and not tall enough, which I believe had violated safety laws. I'm surprised Luxor has no complaints at all about this issue (or they concealed it), if a guest accidentally throws his/her baby out to the open atrium to its death.
