At 47 years old I fully appreciate. At 25 I loved them but now I know what they were about, Superb!!! That's it...no more words.

Sorry to butt in after "no more words" (btw a brilliant Berlin song that is) - but I totally agree. At 48 now, I feel exactly the same. And you're now 54 and still agree I'm sure : )

this band was too good to take all in at the time they were happening. like many adult tastes, you just have to grow up to realize what's important in life. amanda turns the group into a full fledged orchestra and chorus. lindy drives like a train and the boys ring the guitars and sing, always profound, never self-important. finely balanced aesthetics, like a rock and roll calder. we're just a little slow to catch on, that's all.

Very often with the Go-betweens the bad production choices have butchered the songs, they tended to replace Lindy Morrison's drumming with programmed ones... This live version kills the album version...

@@dheerajbw Yes the Go-Betweens biography, I don't have it here but they said that she was away for most of the recording because her dad was ill... So most of the drums are programmed and it shows it sounds nothing like Lindy Morrison!
