We have the 2nd edition and when we were doing RS, the layout is very easy to follow.

I know this video is a few years old but could you tell me if magnetiles can be used in place of the tangram panels? Thank you for your time and thank you for this video! Very helpful!

Well, with the magnetiles that we had, they wouldn't work very well as tangram panels.

We pulled our 2 boys from public school in 2014. They both were struggling with math and getting left behind. I can't even begin to tell you the frustration that math has been for them both. I finally found something that my older son has taken off with. My 10 year old has just recently been found to have dysgraphia & dyscalculia so we are dealing with that for him. I have been looking at what I will use for my daughter when we begin formal lessons & I've been scared to death about Math LOL!! I really am loving RightStart though & have decided to use this with her. Thank you for sharing this!!

Hi, I have a 6-year-old and we just started this year with the kindergarten Singapore Math. We finished the first book and are mi-way through the second book and she HATES it! She’s having a hard time grasping the “money values” and adding them up. She has a super hard time with how long the lessons take and she gets super distracted very easily. She is definitely a tactile learner and I’m wondering if I should switch her to Right Start at this point? Like I said we have already completed the first kindergarten Singapore book and are now halfway through the second one. It’s just torture for her and I to get through the lessons. And Thank you so much for your videos

I'm so sorry I'm just now getting to your comment! Did you decide to go with Right Start? I actually would look into 1st Grade Math with Confidence by Kate Snow. It's a new program, and it's VERY similar to Right Start, but she made it more affordable! Check it out! I will be doing Kingergarten Math with Confidence with my youngest and the pilot 2nd Grade Math with my middle son this year.

How do you think RightStart would work as a supplement to another curriculum?
@JoyfulNoiseLiving
6 жыл бұрын
ordinaryharry That’s a great question! I think the curriculum itself is a bit heavy to use as a supplement, but the Math/Card Games Book and card set would be PERFECT to supplement any curriculum. It helps with memorizing math facts and multiplication tables.

I have never heard of RightStart Maths. We love maths that is not workbook based understand the concepts of maths is so important, I am someone who really needs to understand that. I need to know how things fit together. Choosing curriculum can be hard work.
