My wife and I have been fans of your channel for some time now and we got excited when we heard that your are keeping your beautiful yacht at the Marina in Titusville, Florida. We live a very close distance from that marina and we are planning to purchase our first boat sometime later this year. I also understand that your home is in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and that is very cool because I was born and raised about 2 hours North of Philly. The next time that you are in Titusville, please let us know and we would enjoy taking you and your wife out for dinner and drinks. Keep those great youtube videos coming. They are great! Cheers!

On my former Hatteras 1977 58EDMY we had water that saturated the balsa core of the hardtop above where you are working. Some improperly made deck penetrations were the cause. Chasing water leaks is very frustrating as you usually tear up perfectly good stuff before you find it. I suspect the davit area is a likely area to focus on. Good luck. FYI I now have a 48LRC so I do love the vintage Hatteras boats!

I had a similar problem on a minivan sunroof. Turned out there was an intentional weepage drain that became clogged by a darn spider making its home in the drain tube.

On some generators, you can prime/glow plugs by holding the rocker switch in the "stop" position. (We had a 20kw Kohler that worked that way.)

Captain.... you're in FLorida where the average annual rainfall is around 50 inches--you're living on a boat that flexes and tears caulking while you're under sea-way...yes, water will inevitably find a way in.

To Ed & Lynn, my friend had a similar issue with a small Viking. It appeared that the "port" side Mid Ship had literally No chaulk. Never noticed until several seasons later as mold started to over take the entire area. His boat was located in the Fort Pierce, FL. He did not know what to do and continued to bleach the interior. "he had limited knowledge" of handling this issue. Ed, if you recall, black mold was the evil issue for years. The end result was a removal of off panels and a very expensive reVamp. Ed, my point is that is started from the very top and rivered its way. I m not sure if I helped as You and Lynn are experts on your boat.
