Was working a seasonal temp job and asked my co-worker do you know this band and song playing overhead in the store? She said Rise Against, Savior the song. I'm an over 50 Black woman, so I'm not the market for this music, lol. But damn, it's a head banger. Punk at its finest. Been in bands in the past. The guitar work and vocals are killin' me and the drumming is rediculously phenomenal. I see folks down in the comments saying their old. I say our appreciation of music is greater, we have a larger and longer repertoire to choose from. Believe it or not this song is soulful, the frontman is singing about loss and forgiveness with HEART and his WHOLE being. Musicians must give their ALL. Savior is greatness from start to finish and so terribly underrated. New music love for me. Rise Against.

As a 36 year old married woman with children, house, career… this song brings me back to the times when I was happiest but not the most fulfilled. And to think… there’s an almost 40 year old man out there that thinks of 22 year old me every time he hears this. I think I’d probably risk it all to feel the way I did back then. I hope you’re doing good. 🖤

Fenrir It simply helped me flesh out a romance between two characters I had been really struggling with. TL;DR, I was fine with it, except for the Old Republic because it's rediculously far away from the movies to be erased. Apart from that, I'll continue to be fine with it if they brought more EU characters back instead of just making the EU character a different character even though they're so obviously the same character, IE: Jacen Solo and Kylo Ren. As far as Star Wars, definitely a fan. Honestly I can understand Disney screwing with the EU, except for the Old Republic which happens to be my favorite era for how much they explored the force. Everything was far more mystical.I just dont get why it needed to be erased when it was so far away as far as time that nobody in the OT knew about it. Yoda knew about it, I believe Anakin mentions the Old Republic ONCE, but apart from that, it's a forgotten era that wouldn't interfere with the new movies at all. I would prefer it if they went to the EU instead of inventing new things, for example, they could've brought back Jacen Solo, but they kinda just through Kylo Ren at us, who's essentially the same character. They wouldn't have to bring everything back, they could've at least just gotten him back. Holy shit this is a long rant...

Thought of this song, played it here, listened to the lyrics again and then realised what has prompted the thought. I introduced Anna to Rise Against, when we were both in love. It's strange to think that the amazing connection that we had never really resulted in anything. Still, hopefully she thinks of me and remembers me fondly, as I do with her. More than that I hope, with G-d's grace, she's found the happiness that she deserves.

Lyrics: It kills me not to know this But I've all but just forgotten But the color of her eyes were And her scars or how she got them As the telling signs of age rain down A single tear is droppin' Through the valleys of an aging face That this world has forgotten There is no reconciliation That will put me in my place And there is no time like the present To drink these draining seconds But seldom do these words ring true When I'm constantly failing you Like walls that we just can't break through Until we disappear So tell me now If this ain't love Then how do we get out? 'Cause I don't know That's when she said "I don't hate you, boy, I just want to save you While there's still something left to save" That's when I told her "I love you, girl, but I'm not the answer For the questions that you still have" Oh oh oh And the day pressed on like crushing weights For no man does it ever wait Like memories of dying days That deafen us like hurricanes Bathed in flames we held the brand Uncurled the fingers in your hand Pressed into the flesh like sand Now do you understand? So tell me now If this ain't love How do we get out? 'Cause I don't know That's when she said "I don't hate you, boy, I just want to save you While there's still something left to save" That's when I told her "I love you, girl, but I'm not the answer For the questions that you still have" Oh oh oh One thousand miles away There's nothing left to say But so much left that I don't know We never had a choice This world is too much noise It takes me under It takes me under once again I don't hate you I don't hate you, no But tell me now If this ain't love Then how do we get out? 'Cause I don't know That's when she said "I don't hate you, boy, I just want to save you While there's still something left to save" That's when I told her "I love you, girl, but I'm not the answer For the questions that you still have" Oh oh, I don't hate you I don't hate you Oh oh, I don't hate you No, I don't hate you Oh oh

BjorkVee The music video did. As I think about it now it wasn't 2007 though, because of the actual song coming out in 2008. Well, who gives a fuck :).

Hey brother! What other bands do you like? Listening to this song I saw a comment that listed a bunch of other bands from around the same time. Check them out when ya get a chance. Three Days Grace, Linkin Park, Evanescence, Foo Fighters, Breaking Benjamin, Offspring, Green Day, Nirvana, Shinedown, Sum 41, Blink 182, Coldplay n Finger 11. I'm going to be revisiting songs from a bunch of those guys n I invite you to check them out as well! Stay safe n keep your head up brother

my dear God. I was sobbing from nostalgia. when I discovered this song, I was free. I didn't have that many serious problems like today. I was younger, knew less. only two years apart, but huge change. I still remember all the lyrics and how I was singing this loudest I could. savior and rise against will always have special place, like winter 2020 does

March 2022 and this song is still an absolute banger!!! My son's mother and I used to always jam to this song and Rise Against before we broke up and this woman literally did save me when it felt like there wasn't anything to save but she built me up and gave me hope and always had my back and still does....ironic enough her and I are back together after 3 year's apart and thing's couldn't be better!! Nostalgic is an understatement but when we listen to this while together it's like nothing ever changed!!! Fucking epic on a different level.....this song is 🔥 and bringing her and I closer together more than I can remember so thank you Rise Against for this masterpiece!!!🤘🔥
