Finally an interview format that is solid and tells it like it is. I was there since the mid 80s. I watched KSN, WCA, STN, K2S, CBS, UTI, ABC, NASA and even KGB (Kids Gone Bad) blossom to what they are. And Risk was front and center being one the more well known figures in our scene. Thank you King Skill for this great insightful interview. Keep them coming! ❤🔥

Risk is one huge inspiration in my writing career. I'm A Graf writer since 1983 from Manchester UK. VHS movies introduced me to this colourful art form and early computer games magazine page headers. I got heavy into writing 13 years old from 87-88 my first full book with graf was of course sprsycan art, and hip hop connection magazine had a double page article each month featuring UK and USA graffiti and it's hip hop connection where I discovered Risk Slick and Hex. Around that time my crew boys and mentors had all got into the rave scene and the whole madchester music scene and the drug culture that exploded. Bridlington was the one that changed my monthly expenses on Graf resources and anything I could find and afford on West coast graf was ordered, while my friends slept raving I was going in a fresh new direction with my letter and character style. By 1991 I had a reputation for being Manchester's number one go to Graf Artist for any design or illustration. Going into college at 16 years old I had so much commission work to do I had no time for painting graffiti on walls, as I was now painting graffiti on ragga hip hop clothing for Europe's catwalks and heaps of canvas commissions. I continued to develop my own style even further constantly pushing boundaries striving to be far better with such a distinctive difference from the usual UK stuff at the time. I owe so much credit, respect and gratitude to Risk and other leading pioneers in the West coast scene that impacted my life and art in so many ways... Thank you for making the interview and what a flashback to see all the historical flicks of them early years ❤
