Seyed Abbas Sadat, You should take a look at the body of Nasr's work before writing about what he says in this way. Nasr has not only commanded that it happen, but has dedicated his life to making it happen. He is the first Muslims to be included in the Library of Living Philosophers and Huston Smith has referred to his book "Knowledge and the Sacred" as one of the most important books of the 20th century. He also founded the Imperial Academy of Philosophy in Iran. He walks the walk.

I question your primary premise. "Thousands of people WILL WATCH this." Just because a video has many hits, it doesn't mean it was actually watched.

You learned very little! You missed the whole point about the lecture and your understanding of what he means by "philosophy" is very limited if not wrong. I pray you find the straight path!

Early Civilizations, Classical Period, Dark Ages, Middle Ages, and Renaissance - to most, that is History. And if you can regurgitate it well enough, they'll give you a PhD.

Most eye opening fact I never thought of, all heads of jewish studies are headed by Jews. We need to learn from that. But instead, we focus on if god has a hand or not. iA one days..

1% of thousands can become good guides/leaders/teachers some years from now. Why do you allow youself to be that pessimistic/nihilistic? Don't you get how tragic is to truth to become impotent and astray?

Belayet Hossen Yeah, no worries. He actually showed up yesterday. I heard him speak in person for the first time, and man he's one of the smartest men I ever had the pleasure of seeing in person. Just brilliant.

If there is anything I learned from this video is that there are still millions of people wasting their time studying philosophy in Islam, yet it is not of the questions we will be asked about on the day of judgement. There is only one straight path.. and our purpose is to find it.
