Thank you for sharing this. It is really awesome!I have read months ago that Ritchie Blackmore was going to leave all that celtic type of music he had been doing for a while and come back to rock. Then I run into this , recorded this year. Very nice memories with all these songs from different eras of Deep Purple, and all the different eras of Rainbow.thank you for sharing. And the singer is spectacular. Long Live Rock and roll!!

In spite of all the negative reactions; there is only one Blackmore,he is still an outstanding guitarhero. For those who want to complain about doing things differently than in the old days:get a grip . Rainbow has given a few amazing shows,if you hear that it doesn't sound exactly like the music in the Deep Purple,Dio,days; youré right it doesn't. I think Ritchie has the full right to play his songs like he wants to,as he has the right to choose the musicians he is comfortable with. Ronny Romero has done an superb job which goes for the rest of the band,Ritchie is playing like we all could hope for. If you are one off the upcoming next guitargods,be thankfull if you can play and write a smaal percentage off what this man has done,he gave heavy rock a face and abackbone. If you don't agree; ;no worries you can always become a good gardener ,teacher, housepainter,or whatever but you will never understand the essence of music

Well Brothers & All regards from me in Spore i am a player myself ...this is my best professional opinions that i wanna give. We must admit he is abit older now for now as what he is. By looking at this Monster of Rock Show we must Admit he is not as ACTIVE AS WHAT HE WAS IN de 80's Era then but well he is still de PURE AWESOME ORIGINAL TOUGH & GRUESOME PLAYER RITCHIE BLACKMORE HIMSELF ....YES THATZ WE HE IS . With new players like de Bassists , Vocalists & Keyboard lets believe and ADMITS THEY CANT SOUND LIKE JON LORD & ROGER GLOVER but i guessed they had TRIED THEIR VERY BEST TO FULFILL WHAT BROTHER RITCHIE WANTS WHATZ ON STAGE SO LETS PUT OUR BIG THUMBS UP FOR DE NEW PLAYERS & BROTHER RITCHIE WHO AT LEAST NOW RE-APPEARED AFTER SO LONG ....NEVERTHELESS STILL WOTH BLACKMORE's NIGHT but yes he still APEARED TO GIVE US HIS BEST PERFORMANCE !! HEY CHEERS BROTHERS . WHOEVER AGREES WITH ME C'MON THREOW ALL UR MESSAGES & COMMENTS.....LET BROTHER ROTHIE KNOW THAT HIS BUDDIES ARE ALL HERE STIILK SUPPORTING HIM TILL TODAY.... CHEERS BROTHERS

How in the world can Ritchie Blackmore still play rock and roll at his age! Not just any rock, not Eagles, or Rolling Stones, but High energy hard rock like Deep Purple and Rainbow. And how in the world can he still hear?
THANKS for sharing a rare moment in history. It was good to see Richie play the electic guitar again. The singer did a great job on the vocals- all the lead singers of Rainbow and Deep Purple have very different styles- and he did great on ALL the different styles. I guess the band did not practice much before the concerts as Richie starting out looking like he was playing an acoustic guitar, but it came back to him quickly.

Don't get me wrong there will never be another Ronnie but at least this kids style is definitely Ronnie influenced as opposed to Gramm Bonnet or Joe Lynn and I considered Ronnie to be the best singer Rainbow ever had and Black Sabbath for that matter and the best metal singer ever.

He is definitely Dio influenced in this performance (for obvious reasons), but his vocal technique and quality are MUCH closer to Bonnet. There is no doubt.

I met Richie a few times when he had Rainbow with Cozy Powell and Ronnie Dio and a young keyboard or Synthesizer player. I know his first name was Tony. Richie was over at my home and was a nice guy. Ronnie was a very nice guy too. This was back in the 70's when my ex was working with Rainbow as sort of an amp consultant. Sadly Richie Blackmore wasn't the musician that I really listened to. But it sure was a once in a lifetime experience.

It's hard to come by singers nowadays, who have this good raspy throats. Mostly in rock nowadays raspy throated guys just sound like they've had too much beer, but Romero has some finesse to it, making him really good rock singer in my opinion. And yes, Ritchie just keeps finding amazing musicians everywhere, like we see here.
