Egyptian rice pudding:
1 cup=250 ml
Egyptian rice ( any short grain rice)-1/2 cup
Hot water- 1& 1/2 cups
Milk-3& 1/2 cupsSugar-1/2 cup
Corn flour-1&1/2 tablespoonMilk-1/2 cupOrange blossom water
Method:Wash and soak the rice for 15-20 minutes.Cook the rice with 1&1/2 cup water for 15-20 minutes/ until the rice is cooked.Add the milk and sugar. STir and cook for 10-15 minutes/ until it starts to thicken.Mix cornflour with milk and add it to the pudding.
STir and cook for another 5-8 minutes.Add orange blossom water and switch off the flame.Transfer it to the serving bowls and let it cool completely.Chill it for 2-3 hours.\Top with some nuts and serve cold.
