The title of this video is unhelpful. To be clear, this is a passing-out parade for Professionally Qualified Officers (PQO) who have completed a short 8 week course to induct them into the Army as Officers, after they have previously qualified as Doctors, Nurses, Dentists, Vets, Lawyers, etc. So there is very little training in drill, and standards cannot be compared with the 44 week course for Regular Officers, which culminates in the well-known Sovereign's Parade.

Thank you. I was a bit confused! the title was NOT helpful at all. At anyn rate, they did well for 'staff" officers. Seen Staff officers in the navy "march" and "parade" at the end of orientation. Even there, it was NOT a pretty sight!

@@williamcollins2018 They are professional specialists (actually, not 'Staff Officers' as you refer to them). Bearing in mind that they have just undergone a very intensive 8 weeks of military training , their drill is a credit both to their instructors and to themselves. @@meyrickgriffith-jones3908 I read an autobiography where an Officer who went through Sandhurst in the 1930s, stated that very little of what they learned was of much use when they went to their Units. But the one thing that was absolutely outstanding was the standard of drill... they left as masters of the art. A 2-year course then, too, I think. I have a cine film of the Sovereign's Parade in 1936... the parade ground was full then too... I estimate 150 Cadets marching past in review order. The Parade were originally 'stood easy', not 'at ease'. The Sergeant Major called "Parade" and they braced up for the Adjt on the Horse. At this point they were now stood properly 'at ease'.
