This is a great windshield. I had a knockweks on a 2010 Classic. This billboard out performs any windshield I have installed on my 2015 Roadking. I am 6’01. I installed the tall version which is 19 3/8 inches from the top of the headlamp opening to the top of the windshield. It is the perfect height. I have to reach up at least 4 inches above my helmet to feel air rush, even though I am sitting in a position looking well above the top of the shield. Your gonna love the width also. No buffeting on the upper shoulders. These guys knocked it out of the park with this shield!

Well, that does it for me....was thinking about the LRS, as Ive had it before on a Street Glide. Now I have a new Road King Classic, and the shield is waaaay to tall for me. I like the fact that K.W.'s has only two sizes, so it takes the confusion out of ordering. Going right to the 16.5" Klock Werks....when I get the scratch. Thanks for the review.

A couple years ago I was looking for a higher windshield for my Hardly Ultra. I heard about Klock Werks but couldn't find one. I called them direct and they told me of a repair shop/parts dealer about 50 miles away who sells them. He told me they would let me put one on and test ride it there before I bought one. Well I took the ride down and tested one and ended up left it on for the ride home

I call that timing lol I'm about to order a new windshield and narrowed it down to the Clearview 19.5" with the vent option and the Flare 19". Your review is really helpful as I am 6'2". 2 Questions, when you put your hand above your helmet, when do you feel the wind? And can you look over the windshield when you are normally seated? It looks in the video as if you see through it. Thanks Bob.

@@BoDean52 thanks for the swift response. I am running the 22" now and since the suspension upgrade, I am sitting lower than before, means I have to stretch to look above the windshield. Hence, my interest in a new windshield. I was a little skeptical that the lip on top of the shield does the trick. I trust your judgment. Klock Werks it is. Thanks again and ride safe.

Have a hard time choosing the size of the windshield. Want one as small as possible Wondering if Klock Werks 16; 5 "will work or should you buy 19.5"? Would appreciate how you reason about it. BTW the pouch can come in handy in case you mount your GoPro, nav or phone to the handlebars. Just put a USB battery in the pouch and run the cables to the devices you like to charge. Works great with my TomTom but excellent for a camera, too. Just take the charging port door off and plug the cable in. Unlimited camera battery life 😉 and no cluttering the handlebars as the cables disappear when not needed.

They provide a little bit more of wind deflection specially during the colder seasons I run mine on my bike gear around it doesn’t seem to bother me either way and still get enough wind around them in the summertime so I don’t get too hot . Check them out and let me know what you think. 👍

Steve, are you talking about the wind deflectors that mount on the sides of the front forks? I bought a pair and could not get the on... so today the local dealership is getting that headache job. When he quoted me $80, I laughed inside..... they're gonna lose money on this one. Did they help with turbulence behind your windshield at all? They say a lot of the air comes from below, around the tank.

Duke looks beautiful as always. To be honest I’m not a fan of the curves and contours of the Klockworks windshield on a “classic” styled motorcycle like the Road King. I’m sure it works great but in this case I’d rather go with a little more form over function. I think the Harley windshields just look better (more correct?) on the Road King. I have probably around 20 years on 2 different Road Kings and on both bikes I’ve had the shorter, smoked, Harley windshield. I also dislike looking through a windshield and much prefer looking over one. I really don’t notice any excessive buffeting but it’s entirely possible that with rockin the same windshield for all these years I’m just used to it!

Get that and it was as much the stock one was in tough shape and glare was an issue sometimes. I am a fan of KW as they are on all of my bikes but never felt stock windshields are awful. Always appreciate your take!

I'm disappointed with my 19.5" billboard flare from KW on my RK. The width works great with keeping wind of the shoulders. The height throws the wind right at the top of my hjc visor causing me to be a bobble head. I have a mustang wide tripper seat that has me sitting up a few inches higher than the stock seat and I think that's what is causing the problem. My stock 22" screen was great for blocking wind but I was looking through the top of it. My 16.5" HD wind splitter doesn't give me the protection but at least I'm not a bobble head. I also have an 18" OEM from an older RK and may try that when it gets a little cooler. Cheers
