@@nomaderic I have to agree. I've lived and driven all over San Francisco/bay area. I've never got a gun pulled on me, even after I thought bad drivers was going to annihilate my family, but that was about 15-20 years ago. This sort of road rage seems to be getting worse.

Enough of coddling these maniacs! Road rage needs to be dealt with NOW with aggressive enforcement and **severe** penalties with NO plea deals possible! If you arent mature enough to control your own emotions behind the wheel, you are not mature enough to be driving on public roads!

@@TheMargarita1948 not an excuse, but rather the problem has more layers than simply jailing the offenders. If the conditions are as bad as Mike suggests, it'll happen again and we'll just put a couple more guys in jail. OR--we can fix the roads and punish offenders. At least the police responded. About a month before I moved out of California in 2021, while yielding to a car in a lane merge, I unintentionally delayed a third driver in a pickup, he passed us both in the center median and waved a handgun out his rear cab window. When I called & reported this to the California Highway Patrol, the lady on the phone said “don’t follow the truck” didn’t ask for description or if I got a license number, just “don’t follow them” among my long list of gripes about my former home of 5 generations is how useless “law enforcement” there has become.

You know, there are three things at play here: 1) Utter disregard for human life; like people are living in an alternate reality. 2) Me first, self centered, selfish behavior when driving. 3) Honest mistakes through a moment of complacency. Who can say which is more deadly. Who is willing to forgive the third or the second before they resort to the first?

I almost got ran off the road pm I15 around Roy cuz some "person" wasn't looking to her right while I was merging left at the same time she decided to merge right into my lane; she was ahead of me but not by enough. I had to jerk my wheel to the right just avoid colliding with her, she didn't even notice. I nearly lost control and had to wrench the wheel to keep driving straight, I thought for sure I was going to roll. Luckily the car stayed on all four. I was so pissed, I caught up to her she was on the second to the right most lane but she is now in the left, obviously weaving through traffic...but then I thought, what am I going to do? Have a talk with her, there's no way, I got no authority or power to stop her. I told myself, I'm blessed that nothing happened, so I backed off and continued my 35 min commute home. There's nothing conclusive I can tell police since she wasn't continue to drive recklessly, I had to let go. Life goes on.

Just a few minutes ago there were 4 cars driving erratically up Pony Express towards Porters Crossing. I call 911 and it just rang. NOTHING. I hang up and the dispatch number from Spanish Fork calls me back and it's automated. I hit 1 because I still wanted to report it. Nothing. Just rang. After 4 times I get home and call the number and the lady tells me it must be my phone. What? I got through just fine by calling that Spanish Fork number. She proceeds to blame me and talk over me. I'm all for backing the Thin Blue Line but sometimes up here it's a bit pathetic especially when you see several of the Utah County Sheriff trucks parked at 7-11 or Mavrick.
