RR 3D is actually much better than it's 1st impression, but you have to put some hours into it to see what makes it a banger. Pro tips: use the farthest cam view to see more of the environment and less of the blocky bike models, use the R analog stick for throttle/brake and master the percentages required to control max grip thru corners, listen for the car horns to alert you of oncoming traffic which makes you much faster with less crashes, and at least play until you unlock the fastest bikes in the game before you give up on it, for they really bring the speed and the energy and the skill required with the L and R analog sticks that makes this game special. It's essentially an arcade bike racer with sim throttle controls. Oh yeah, and the final race (called the Big Race) is a 25+ minute battle through the entire location of the game with no loading and no looping. It's a point A to point B race which is, if not the 1st, one of the 1st OPEN WORLD P2P races through a relatively large area. I didn't like this game either at first, but now I feel it's one of the best motorcycle racers of that era.

Can't beat some leather clad racing action! Who needs gold chains when you're swinging a metre of heavy gauge welded link around like a savage! Nice one ! 😎👊

Road Rash on the Mega Drive is simply one of the best games on the platform. The music is fantastic and I love the edgy vibe. I never had 2, but 3 was a banger! 😁

I've only played bits of the series, and those prior to Road Rash 3D. The 16 bit and 32 bit ones seemed the best ones.

Wasn't Tonka the American distributer of the Master System, while Mattel handled the UK NES?

I'm pretty sure nintendo stripped tonka of the distribution rights at some point but i know that virgin/mastertronic distributed the master system in europe as i made a video about it. Thanks for checking out the video man.

@@Consoletronix I won't claim to be an expert on the UK 8-bit business, but the only connection I found between Nintendo and Tonka was a Gamecube title. Do you have a source for linking the two?

RR64 easily the best entry in the series, the 16-bit games were all incredibly lame by comparison.
