The Honda Odyssey has indeed sustained its popularity in this new world of crossovers. And, Honda hopes the 2014 edition will ensure that remains the case.
Just picked up a 2014 ex- l in white diamond pearl and I fucking love it . Best family hauler money can buy .. Safety and space was my main reason for buying the odyssey.

My mom's Honda Odyssey can take off like a rocket! Sometimes I call it a sports-minivan.

8 second 0-60 is nothing to sneeze at. That's a lot faster than most generic cars on the road that do it a couple seconds slower.

1:30......"Here Chrysler's Stow n' Go second row seating has a clear advantage". Ah, butt the Odyssey, being a Honda, will start every day. The Crapsler won't & will be in the shop every other week!!!!!!!!

Not to mention the 2014 Honda Odyssey gets "Good" rating in the small overlap crash test, Chryslers simply can't touch those safety results, not a single Chrysler/Dodge/Fiat get a Good Rating in the IIHS Small overlap crash test while the Honda Civic, Accord, Odyssey, and Acura TL, RLX, MDX and ILX all receive "Good" Ratings in the very challenging small overlap crash test. The Odyssey also beats the Chrysler Town & Country in fuel economy, it does 19/28 mpg while the Chrysler Town & Country/Dodge Caravan gets only 17/25 mpg. The Stow n' Go seats aren't even that good, its not very comfortable and not removable, so the extra weight of the seats cost fuel economy when you don't need the 2nd row seats such as hauling furniture. The 2014 Honda Odyssey is the world's best minivan with superior safety, fuel economy, reliability, and build quality that will last 20+ years, and over 200,000 miles, while Dodge Caravans are usually paralyzed after 120,000 miles unless you spend thousands repairing it.

Honda was asked why they did not do the "Stow and Go" type seats in the second row. Their answer? "Our customers will not put up with the low level of comfort that can be achieved in these seats".. My experience (I traveled with friends who got both) tells me it's quite true: There are only two acceptably comfort seats in the Chrysler vans: The Front Ones.

Who would want to buy an odyssey over a cross over? The roomy interior, and excellent fuel economy. With lower gas prices I expect more people will take it. But not with that Vacuum on the expensive touring elite. Go with the base lx to ex-l with the dvd entertainment system and buy a shop vac.
