I have had my 2018 Equinox LT with the 1.5 for 3 months now. I love it. Has enough power for my everyday driving. Getting 29.5 mpg. Quiet and comfortable. Paid $22,500.

I always have to chuckle when they do the "0-60" test. I've been driving for 50 years and can't ever remember a time when it was imperative I get from a dead stop to 60 as fast as I possibly could. LOL If you want to do something meaningful, go from 30-60 to simulate coming up to speed getting on the freeway.

We took the turbo diesel out for a test ride. It was love at first highway on ramp. The 1.6TD engine, is peppy and sips fuel to the tune of 38 MPG in mixed driving. 40 MPG on the highway with three people on-board. I think it looks good, handles extremely well, and did I mention fuel economy! This vehicle is a winner in my book.

I rented this crossover in the baseline trim for a few days and liked how you sat up high and seating was comfortable and felt bigger than it looks. However the major setback was the very week engine power, either from a dead stop or the passing power at high speeds which it did not have a all. The transmission was changing gears constantly when going uphill trying to stay at 55 mph. Maybe ok for city traffic but not recommended for rural hilly roads.

I just traded in my 2018 equinox for a 2021 terrain. This equinox was ok. Had 53000 miles on it and never had a issue. But it did lack a lot of horsepower and the road noise was average at best. On the interstate I had to turn my radio to the max to hear anything .. and the auto shut off is so obvious and wonky.

Turbo gives that little push u need in certain ocasion and it doest leave u wanting more, for the city anyway, i wanna take it on a trip maybe 4 5hrs one see how it behaves 😁 tho i have stepped on it on the highway at 90- 100mph and it doest goes side ways like the Honda Brv that truck SUCKSS!!! Starts going sideways at 70- 80mph 🤮🤮🤮 tho the new 2022 looks nice but it sucks, i hope i can jump to 2024 equinox if they bring one out at the end of this year :) would love it to be my first brand new truck 0miles 🙉🙉 oh btw i hate the Auto Stop thingy, the 18 doest have an off button for that crap.

Only problem with that backlash, is that almost every automaker is going in that direction. CAFE standards are a bitch, especially when buyers keep buying trucks and larger SUV's. These types of vehicles pay the price, for the production of what's selling.
