I'm from BC so the road rules are a little bit different pertaining to signs and speed limits (School and Playground here are 30 max), but overall its the same basics and principles so I find this video very helpful!

That's interesting. In scholar zones in Quebec, the speed limit is 30. I wonder why Ontario has it at 40

You're welcome! Yes, it's perfectly fine to drive at 45 km/h in a 50 km/h zone during your G2 test. It's important to drive safely and within the speed limit, but you don't need to match the maximum speed exactly. Good luck with your test!

In Canada 🇨🇦 , we often put the signal first to communicate our intention to other drivers early. This helps drivers behind us understand our plans to change lanes or turn, allowing them to adjust their speed accordingly. The key idea is to ensure clear communication and prevent any sudden or unexpected movements. However, it's crucial to always check mirrors and blind spots to ensure it's safe before executing the maneuver.
@miles5600

@@Canadiandrivers interesting. Here when you switch lanes you have to give way to the one who’s already in that lane thus the signal is not needed when someone is there, you use the signal when the lane you want to enter is clear meaning there’s enough space between the car in front of you and behind you. Still i don’t get why you would use the signal first, the person switching lanes has to make sure the situation for others doesn’t change.
