Going through the California desert in the Tejon pass is where the wind literally started unfurling our RV canopy and we had to rip the thing clean off (in 70mph wind gusts) in order to safely continue.

Gas prices here now in Folsom CA range $4.75 (Sam’s Club) to $5.09 per gallon at the stations I go to. It’s not good, but it’s better than last year’s prices.

I just gassed-up for $3.86 but not in California. Gas in Germany is about $7.40 a gallon. Sales tax on a car in Europe is about 25%. One European country has 100% sales tax on a car purchase.

How do you like Las Cruces? A friend's trying to convince me to move there rather than my yen to move first to Rosarito, MX and then possibly Ensenada, being formerly I lived many yrs in San Diego loving the climate and more. Am hoping Rosarito/Ensenada will be more affordable to me, as well. Will be seeking a 2br2ba old, small traditional casita near local produce markets. From vids, Las Cruces looks like desert, and not the climate of SD or Rosarito/Ensenada.

ooooh wish I were there!!! Wondering about the cost of produce is, not at the gringo markets, and also long term rentals as mentioned. Such a cost of living vid I have not found on utube. Might consider doing such a video for there has to be many like me wanting to know, as well for Ensenada. TYVM for letting me know. Enjoy yourselves and safe travels. Have subscribed 🙂

@@dianevitale1214we owned a home and lived in Ensenada for over 15 years. Rosarito can be quite a party town. Ensenada is less so, but still gets very busy on the weekends and during cruise ship dockings. Valle de Guadalupe wine country just southeast of Ensenada is amazing and some beautiful hotels, restaurants and close to 100 wineries😊. We lived in Bajamar which is south of Puerto Nuevo and before Ensenada. Nice gates community on the bluff. Only drawback is no local shopping. You have to go to Puerto Nuevo or Ensenada for everything but many beautiful homes for rent and for sale.

Safe🚙Travels! Do you know if you need a special permit to drive a MX plated car in the U.S.? Insurance? Be careful in TN, I went to Austin Peay over there for college, the police is like an ATM machine💸🤑‼️

Hi Wilfredo. You are required to have auto insurance for the U.S. though we were not asked for any insurance documentation when we crossed the border. There are no special permits required to drive a Mexican plated car in the U.S. as long as your not bringing the Mexican plated car to the U.S. permanently. -Marc

CDN$1.69/L = approx MXN$20.28/L. In our neck of the Mexican woods, gas is MXN$22-24/L, so it’s actually cheaper in Ontario.
