Hi Nonsi. Botswana has one of the strictest border controls in the world. And they don't compromise on customs issues in particular. In future, please a guy called Thuli at the border for him to help you clear your car and your products before you arrive. I will happily inbox you his details. In other news, Batswana are a very warm and loving nation. I am very glad to see that the border issue did not dampen your spirits. And you got the best of us. Do come back and visit the Okavango delta next time. Please pass on my kindest and warmest regards to your dearest Ma.

Once entered Botswana from Zimbabwean border, transiting to South Africa We had to throw away all our agricultural produce because it wasn't allowed in. You were lucky that you entered with your Mpesu Also with your merchandise needs to be documented Botswana is very strick with their immigration laws. Yes they need to improve on customer service, they expect travelers to know, hence people are afraid to visit ather African countries

My take from this video… when you were still in South Africa side and you see shacks you said that’s Botswana, that already says a lot. I use that border several times in a year and I don’t remember being greeted on either the South African side or Botswana side. I like that border for its efficiency, no delays as I’m usually one of the first people in the morning

+- 5 hours on the border was too much, however, is not a new thing for Botswana to be strict on the border, if you don't believe that then ask Chris Hani, but I believe is how they keep their country safe, one reason SA is the dangerous country is due to porous borders , zama zama is good example

The experience you guys you had at the Botswana Border I had it at Beitbridge border going to Zimbabwe, for me it was even worse the lady officer at the Zimbabwe side communicated with me in Shona language which I did not understand a word till the people behind me at the queue intervened to say that I am a South African it was when she stamped my passport after I have tried to explain to her that I don't understand the language.

It’s not only in Botswana where you meet bitter immigration officers, even in S.A and Namibia etc, it’s an African thing. People are just bitter. They hate people who travel. I am South African from Mafikeng, not living far from Ramatlabama border that connects South Africa with Botswana. My concern has always been some of the guys at the Botswana border gate. As a Motswana from South Africa I feel they treat us as Non-Batswana but merely South Africans. This is the damage colonizers did to us as Africans. We forget that we are one people. We are all Africans. And equally so, sometimes as South Africans we mistreat fellow Africans. And even Batswana from Botswana and Batswana from South African belittle each other which is not the good thing because we are one people
Am motswana as well, my sister Botswana boader is trauma. Those ladies are cold...its only ladies but gentlemen are very good with their customer service! Even us Batswana we are devastated by those ladies at Botswana boader.💔
