I only found you today. I am really enjoying watching the NZ videos. I am at the early stages of planning my own trip. It would be great to know more about prices of things, fuel, boats, kayaking, food and how long it is taking to do the hikes. Also, maybe a few domestic things like the availability of loos, showers etc.

Hi Camille, thanks so much for watching and for your comment. I’m planning to do a couple of separate videos at some point - one where I share the budget and itinerary for our NZ trip, with a full break-down of costs and how much we spent on food, fuel, activities, etc. And one about the best hikes we did in NZ with a lot more detail about timing, difficultly, logistics, etc. Hopefully that’ll be useful for planning your own trip! Just need to find the time to make those videos now!

I enjoyed it a lot while eating my breakfast here at home in Edinburgh, Scotland ;D Man New Zealand looks so stunning, I dont get why people rave about Iceland bla bla when I can clearly see you trip is so much better. Views, mountains, lakes, waterfalls etc 10/10. Would love to do Te Araroa trail one day, but thats another story. All the bets guys.

Thanks so much Gregory! We’d love to do Te Araroa one day, but we’re unlikely to find a free four months to do it any time soon! Yeah, New Zealand really does have everything, it’s easily the most scenic place we’ve ever been - though I do also have a soft spot for Iceland! Thanks again for watching 😊

Wonderful video. What month did you do this section of your trip? How many days roughly? I’d love to be able to do the same trip!

Hi Katie, it was late December-early January. We were there for about 2 weeks, including a few days not doing anything over Xmas. This was one of our favourite sections of the trip, I’d highly recommend it! 😊

@@JamesBTravel Well that's simply great to know.. I'm a vegan too!! So it was extra special seeing how you both were able to fuel up on your travels! I'm now thinking about simple curries I can also easily make on such trips. Love your videos!
