As a kid in the 5th grade, back in those days, we didn't get to see the Road Warriors till they came to the NWA. Otherwise, there was no TV coverage of them. We only knew about their dominance in the AWA and in Japan from magazines. Every Sunday after Church, my Mom and I would head to the supermarket. She'd go for the groceries while I stood at the magazine rack INHALING all the news and pictures of every issue of the wrestling mags (there were so many back then).

@rudy2fat Don't think we are talking about the same thing. As a team of "workers", the Midnight gets the nod. Even the Road Warriors themselves would acknowledge this in many of their shoot interviews. Great Heel teams can make or break the babyface teams. Granted the Road Warriors didn't have to solely depend them or any others, but their feuds with the Midnight Express and the Four Horseman made them a bunch of money and helped cement their place in Tag Team History.

he is talking about actual in ring performing not just being over with the fans. they did get pretty good very quickly and they were willing to learn which made them even better wrestlers. they are underrated as most people dont consider them technicians in the ring but for huge dudes and for there style they are pretty technical.
The trophy that Ellering is carrying is the Jim Crockett Memorial Cup, which they won in April of 1986. They defeated Magnum TA and Ron Garvin in the finals to win the cup as well as thr $1,000,000 cash prize.
