They didnt have an engine that would fit and they were not going to continue to use a Ford!

@@marknilsson5782 - Thanks, but I was well aware of that. My question to "The Car Corner" was why didn't they include that. Do you know what engine Chrysler thought would work before they found out it would not fit without major modifications?

A friend had one of these...I recall him changing one of the spark plugs by removing a rubber grommet above the clutch pedal and extracting it from inside the car with a universal and extensions

He's wrong again. The 2 fastback sunbeams that entered the race were all pines and they did first in their class. And we're rewarded also for best fuel mileage that year.

Sorry, but they also made the Sunbeam Tiger Lemans cars 68 and 69 that the narrator refers to. One car is in Britain and appeared last summer at Brands Hatch and the Lemans classic, the other car is in California. The Harrington lemans (alpines) that you refer to won their class for thermal (consumption in liters divided by 100km) efficiency (a category historically won by a French car)
