Oven-roasted veal neck with potatoes is one of my family's favorite lunches. The meat is super juicy and delicious, we literally don't need a fork. The perfect holiday lunch.
WE WILL NEED IT
bone-in veal neck
potato
carrot
tomato
onion
a little butter
AND THE RECIPE IS:
✅ Marinate the veal neck and leave it overnight in the refrigerator. For the marinade: salt, colorful and small pepper, oil and rosemary.
✅ Since the meat has received all the spices, we will heat the oven to 180°C, oil the baking pan and put the meat to roast. We will bake for about 3 hours in total
✅ After 45 minutes, it's time for the first control. Add 150 ml of water so that it does not stick and return to the oven
✅ During this time, we prepare the vegetables. We decided on carrots, potatoes, tomatoes and onions. Season with oil, salt, pepper and vegetables
✅ After 90 minutes in the oven, it's time for another check and to add vegetables. Add another 150 ml of water and a little butter over the meat to make it juicier. Return to the oven. From time to time we pour our own juice over the meat
✅ After 2.5 hours, we will turn the meat in the oven and bake it for another 15 minutes
✅ After we have achieved the desired color, take the meat out of the oven and return the potatoes to the oven, while we cut the meat into steaks
✅ We bake the steaks that we cut for only 5 minutes in the oven, in our own juices, so that they are juicier
✅ And that's all, juicy and tasty veal is ready. As you can see, we cut it with a fork and there is a lot of delicious juice.
