I was in Tanzania for 3 months and I was paying something like $2 for a tiny cup of weak and tasteless coffee after lunch… the hotel serves Nescafé classic and I was yearning for a good cup of joe… one of the street vendors sent me to a market in kinondoni and there was this old Chinese gentleman selling coffee… he roasted the beans whilst I waited and he told me his life story… while I drank the coffee with him… he charged $1 for the coffee but it was better than any coffee I’ve tasted in my entire life… before I left to go home I had to have one more cupa… when I returned 2 years later with the bosses… I hired him to keep the coffee flowing at an event… he made over $8000 in tips that evening… your video reminded me of such a good person…
Why in the world is coffee selling for $1-2 a cup in TANZANIA!!!

@@f4z-e why do you have to be ignorant? This is a comment section for a video about the process of making a fresh cup of coffee. She said they do this as part of their tradition which I found very interesting. It was also relevant to the video unlike your comment.

This is incredible. I just bought my first coffee machine and I'm so fascinated by how much is involved. There's two steps to this that I currently haven't seen before and have a couple of questions: 1. What is the spikey sifter thing you use after pouring the ground coffee in? 2. What is the metal filter thing you put on top of the ground coffee after you tamp it? And lastly, I hope you appreciate my technical mumbo jumbo 😊

I worked in a coffee shop throughout my 20's and I've always wanted to get one of these. So simple and they pull the best chai shots ever. Drop a dash of cream into the chai shot and it's the nectar of the gods, I swear.
