Was friends with Rob. Haven't seen him in over 10 years. Was a real good dude. He was very humble and down to Earth. You would never know how famous he was or how good of a fighter. Always figured we would run into each other again someday. Sadly, that will not be the case. RIP, buddy!

Rust in vrede meneer Kaman. Ik kende u niet persoonlijk, maar u heeft me altijd geïnspireerd. Uw gevechten keek ik met heel veel plezier. U was een goede in mijn ogen.

These lowkicks are amongst the greatest in history and VERY few people could kick like that. It is textbook stuff, just watch, repeat and you'll be deadly. Simple as that.

very well said. These tapes are absolute gold.

@@dougsmuaythai Yep. Great job for putting those online. I started training kyokushin in the late 80's and I can kick pretty decently myself, but the stuff on those tapes is truly insane. I can watch it all day and will not be bored. His mastery is that mesmerising to me. Of course it is difficult to appreciate it as an outsider to hard lowkick styles (kyokushin, muai-thai, dutch kickboxing etc.), but the easiest way to understand the power behind those kicks is to watch the fight of Rob Kaman and Ernesto Hoost. When Rob kicked Ernesto like that, Ernesto was literally falling head forward and legs backwards. Try doing that with someone of Ernesto's size and weight (190 cm, 100-110 kg).

@@sethplate7176 I bought these tapes with some gym mates back in 1995. With very few Muay Thai trainers in So California in the 80s and 90s, these tapes were a big help to my training and that of my gym mates.

@@sethplate7176 thank you sir for the kind words. We are both great fans of Kaman for sure. I will go back and look at the Hoost fight. I also loved the power of Changpuek. That middleweight sized Thai fought all the big Europeans. Pretty impressive.

that's a pretty savvy way to deal with your opponent's attacks. takes a lot of training to time these right. impressed with the control he had in this training video. regular sparring sessions were different I heard. Remy Bonjasky said in an interview that he was tearing through the beginner groups and got promoted to the fighter group. Mejiro Gym's trainer told Kaman to put Remy in his place. Remy said that was the first time he experienced a liver shot. It was as if his soul left his body that time, he said. lol
