Enjoyed the last 2 shows at Floore’s that weekend. Not sure I’ve ever experienced more wonderful and emotional live performances. Sang along all with REK, drank a lot of beer, ate the best tamales and was brought to tears at the end. I’m certain everyone there had a similar experience. It’s not often you have the privilege to be a part of something like that weekend in Helotes. Thanks REK for all music, memories and fun!

Certainly one of my favorite songs of all time. How many layers of sweet nostalgia can there be in a song?

While "The Road" and its recording by the Highwaymen probably made REK's career, "Feelin' Good Again" is probably his best song, in my opinion.

Love me some REK. Could never figure out why he never solved his live vocals problem. Me, I just can’t understand his lyrics. Ian Tyson had the same problem his whole career. The records were great. Live it was tough to make out the lyrics. The mic he used on this video seems to be an awesome and probably high dollar but not meant for his way of singing. I was always impressed by Elvis and his odd looking mics. Sinatra used similar, Dean Martin too. You never see that style since the Shure SM 58 came out it seems. Maybe Earl is just mumbling but I believe it’s the wrong mic. Great performance though! Thank you!

2023 isn’t special ny friend. Greats will always be greats, there’s more access than ever. But time marches on and you can always go back to the stuff you like, on demand at anytime. People in the 1960s cried about the songs of yesteryear being erased. But guess what - we can hear any of them, on demand, any time we want. This music lives on like no other time in history. It’s laughable how easy it is to find it and listen to it in seconds. That’s the real story. Dry your tears, it’s all accessible in a way that our grandfathers couldn’t have imagined. Let the woe is me attitude roll on, find gratitude in the ease of access you have now my friend. How fortunate we are.
