At this time many people were still trying to keep disco...But Robert had something else on his mind....I believe he's one of the artists that pushed music to the next generation...He's one of the first to set-off true 80's music along with Phil Collins, Huey Lewis & others.

Withthe exception of the "Riding High" album, EVERYTHING that Robert recorded was of the utltimate high quality. He just had an ear for rythym, harmonies and a killer-beat. Take, for example, Johnny and Mary, or, even Addicted to Love!! AS for the daft comments about his sartorial elegance, he ALSO sounded just as good on the radio!!!!

Bridgett Holman ... This is one of those rare posts that make the comment sections a valuable resource! I thought I’d known about every cover by every relevant artist no matter how deep or obscure the track. But THIS? Nope! First I’ve heard of it. ✌️👏👏 Palmer’s cover isn’t even a MICRO-departure from the original, and so close in release time! It’s like Cameron Crowe making Vanilla Sky while the original was still in THEATERS. Great post! Thank you!
