Alison Krauss looks beautiful, and as usual, effortless as she sings! The music emanating from these consummate musicians is so amazing! Robert and Alison are most fortunate to have them! Then, there is Robert Plant. What more can be written about him? He works so much and seems to continually be relevant. Peace & health to them all so they may continue to bless us with this great music.

How about Jay Bellerose playing those old Slingerland Rolling Bomber drums. They were made in the 1940s during the war when there was a metal shortage (needed for the war) the lugs on the drums are made out of wood instead of the normal metal lugs. I love the way he brings out all the percussion instruments for the show. Great drummer!

I love to watch Plant and Krauss. Not becuase of them, but to watch the drummer, Jay Bellerose. Jay and I grew up together from the crib, as young children. He was my childhood best friend, and we did many things together up till High school, when we traveled seperate roads. I have such fond memories of Jay when we were kids. His mother made the best chocalate chip cokkies. His mother and my mother were best friends also, up to the day that age caught up to them, and they passed away. Jay looks just like his Mom, and that is a compliment. Fondest of all memories, I have many, but one that is of interest to his playing abilities is when Jay and I prior to 9 years old. We were in 3rd grade when our parents decided to put us in a music summer camp at our school. Jay wanted to play drums, and so, as a friend I was right besde him. I recall the drum pads they gave us to use to practice on. A 5x7 inch block of wood that was set at an angle and had a 4 inch rubber pad to use with drum sticks. I tried, but I just couldnt keep a beat. Jay was amazing, he accelerated at learning and playing. I remember his Brother and sisters bought him his first drum set soon after starting that summer camp, for his birthday, and he had it set it up in his bedroom. We would play along to artists like Jackson Brown "People Stay", live. He played his drums, and I would sing the lyrics. We recorded our so called sessions on cassette tape, I wonder if he still has those? I would love to hear those memories again. I am so proud of how great Jay's life has turned out for him. Coming from a small in Town of Old Orchard Beach Maine, to becoming a premiere musician playing for Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, as well as The Paula Cole band and many other artists. I would love some day to meet back up with Jay, to reminisce about our memories growing up as children in a small town (bucket list of things I want to do before leaving this earth) I also loved reading others comments about Jay, thank you.
