As a Federer fan I am so glad Tsitsipas backed up the big upset with another victory over a very tough opponent. Agut is no walkover. Tennis has been in dire need of an injection of fresh blood, especially in the GS tournaments. I'm honestly bored of Roger, Novak and Rafa dominating every slam. Tsitsipas is starting to look like the real next superstar of tennis, not Zverev. He's got a beautiful mixed style of play, clearly modelled on Federer's game, and a very strong mental game which only the best possess (Rafa Novak Roger and sometimes Andy). If he keeps this up he'll be a slam winner in the next year or two. It's also nice to have a new great player who isn't glued to the baseline crushing balls as hard as possible with zero imagination. Good luck to him against Nadal. I expect that will be the biggest challenge of all and certainly the biggest match of his career thus far.

As far as the passing of the torch is concerned it will happen and eventually we will see it but as of now there is no such thing as passing of the torch RF was asked this question and his response was that his level is there his game is up there with the big dogs recently beating novak in Canada and now RF in AO shows that he is the man to watch for future but he also said that is not the moment for passing of the torch he's still playing and still present the passing of the torch happens when RF decides to and the big 3 decides to at the moment the torch will remain with the big 3 but i know eventually the next gen of superstars will have to take over its inevitable
@90erland

@@katerinapatiniotis5598 I can't comment because I have never seen Kuerten playing, so your answer might be right as well. It was actually Dimitrov who plays like Federer at the beginning of his career, but he shares different personal characteristic, and his game plan is often one dimensional. Roger's game has definitely evolved over the past few years. Coric resembles Djokovic game a little bit, so does Thiem game style to Nadal, De Minaur to Hewitt. But those players can't just copy their master, but they have to have their own signature stroke. As far as watching Zverev, I don't like his attitude when he is losing. That is the mental thing he needs to improve.

@@josephbarpaulomoises4977 A GS semifinal is not a hall of fame material either. A Masters 1000 title is not just an ATP title. Masters 1000 tournaments are the biggest tournaments outside the Grand Slam, and very difficult to win (still mostly dominated by the same greatest champions). Winning a Masters 1000 title still means more than a GS semifinal (and also 1000 points vs. 720 points). And winning the ATP Finals title (it's not called WTF anymore) means even more. So Zverev is still a lot more successful than Tsitsipas. But I would love if that would change in the future, as Stefanos' game is so much more attractive.

Sorta. But his backhand is different from Fed. Dimitrov called Baby Fed because they have literally almost the same backhand while Tsitsi can put a spin on his backhand, or just down the line stroke, the way he swings it is giving me different vibe from Fed. Thiem, Tsitsipas and Dimitrov all have three different style of one handed backhand and Im digging the three of them
