Thanks. The whole podcast for rebel robin is so autistic coded! I relate to it so much. At this point i think robin is an autistic canon but they won't say it in the show because people wouldnt have realised she was autistic back in the 80s. People werent as aware of autistic girls back then. If she was a guy she might've been mentioned as autistic already. Shes definitely my favourite autistic character though 💕

@@ashseditz6836 i don't know if she would have been said as autistic as a boy cause there was such a strong stereotype about what autism was that wasn't right as its a spectrum but people didn't see it as that back then and saw it as ine thing and you weren't autistic unless you fitted this exact image

I'm pretty certain most of the characters in stranger things are hinted at being neurodiversed, mental illness, and strongly the over all underlying theme of the show is catered around autism/being "different". PRETTY SURE the show highlights the Boyers brothers and their mother of being autisitc/neurodiversed showing it as a genetic thing also the head people who are producting/show devepolers are brothers and I'm sure its a bit of a "artist thing" to put in some elements of your own lives like the brothership part of the show feelings very pushed from having brothers making the show, and the Boyer brothers feel like a bit of a window or relationship to the Developers. L/Jane is also strongerly hinted at having autisitc /slow learning. I what think maybe Mike and Dustin are also likely to channel these epics too. like the show hints and in the last season for sure hints towards trying to showcase out being "different" and the issues that comes with is perfectly ok. Also it is the 80s so its was less a thing at that time other then more visible ways. Most of the characters are meant to be the odd people out...

It seems more like adhd to me, but I definetly see some autistic traits too. One thing is for sure, she's neurodivergent

Adhd is a collection of autism traits, every single one of them is an autistic trait. That is why it is considered a spectrum "disorder". I think we hold onto the sub-label of ADHD for the sake of easier categorizing the differences and making it easier for those who identify with the spectrum to have language to describe themselves.

It’s from the “Rebel Robin” audiobook/podcast. I’m pretty sure you can listen to it on the Stranger Things yt channel.
