I really don't understand how anyone can even begin to consider still applauding all these people who entertained us for so many years ...only to find out later they were all perform under the influence of so many drugs and alcohol. Without such crutches, they apparently could not perform ....so why make such outlandish accolades to these guys and gals??? There are no "holes" left in the world when these people killed themselves over the years of drug and alcohol abuse. Sadly, there is a huge demographic that simply does not see it this way. @@taxicamel Nice judgement and ignorance of mental illness, that many people, like Robin, used drugs to "feel normal". His brain was firing on 50 cylinders at full throttle, 24/7. Try being a parent of a kid like that. You see genius, chaos and all kinds of silliness and craziness all at once. Culture had something to do with it, because he was not popular as kid. You apparently love to judge others without knowing a phucking thing about the people or their problems, making blanket statements, assumptions and assessments, most likely projecting the hateful misery of your own life's failures.

I've seen a number of Robin Williams interviews and stand ups over the years. The thing I noticed is this: though he did have a sharp mind, he also repeated a lot of material. He would work things out in different interviews and then add a few things. The jokes and ramblings that worked, he would put in his stand ups. The more you watch his interviews, the more you see it. All comedians do it. But I would say that he was probably one of the best. BUT he looked up to the Marx Brothers, especially Groucho.

In interviews such as this one, you can see the zest for life he had then. Equally clear was the difference in his last few interviews, that twinkle in his eyes was gone. He was a one in a million gifted talent and I'm so sad he's gone.

You can watch Robin over & over and never tire of his comedic mind. I think he was a genius. He absolutely shines off script. He doesnt need a script. He writes it in his head 2 seconds before it comes out of his mouth. Truly sad that he is gone but he left us a lifetime of fun behind for us to cherish. RIP Robin.

Ivan Duckford just like how you reply your worthless opinion to random comments? William was versatile in many areas but he stuck with what he knew people wanted. If people are still talking of him in good graces then it obviously got over with the majority. Don't even want to know who you think is funny.

Best comedian and quickest thinker ever ! Always the pedal to the metal as if it were normal ! After watching Robin Williams I had a hard time finding other comedians funny. It was like driving 100 mph and then slowing back down to 30 ! He was the best interview . Most hosts learned to tear up their questions after a few minutes with Robin. He was so full of energy , he was able to to appear distracted and leaped from character to character bouncing in and making them laugh. He had the ability to hit you with another before you could react to the joke before. He was so animated and focused as he bounced off the walls in every direction. Not being able to predict him was his strong point and then throw in hundreds of characters with different voices and real accents....He was amazing ! I found out after he died that most people felt the same way as I did about him. He was heaven sent , to make us laugh ....

You have to laugh when you think about that interview for the "Mork & Mindy" role. When he took off they must have been thinking, "What the hell was that?!!" I'll bet there was an interesting staff meeting reviewing that list of candidates!

It's really too bad that everything has to turn political these days. I love politics but sometimes you want to get away from it by watching sports, or a movie, or a comedian, and it just doesn't happen anymore. You almost can't get away from it, unless you shut everything off. . . But, since it popped up, I will say that Trump has been absolutely wonderful for this country, and all who claim to disagree are enjoying the benefits of his policies, whether you will admit it or not. His economic policies have given the USA the best economy in US History. Right now, as I type this, there are a million more jobs available than there are people looking for work! We have the lowest Black unemployment in US History! Same with Hispanic unemployment! And Women and youth unemployment, and Asian unemployment! It used to be the number 1 issue. In the past, it was said, "It's the economy, stupid." There are literally more people working today, than ever before in American History! And because of that, the US Treasury has taken in more revenue than ever before! Because workers pay taxes. So, think about this: Trump gave us the largest tax cut in American History, and the Treasury is receiving more money than ever before! That is Amazing, and you pitiful Leftists will not admit it. You are entitled to your own opinions, but you are not entitled to your own facts. Facts are Facts. And mark this down folks. Donald Trump will win a second term! God Bless President Trump and all those who support him!
